Procurement Research:Public sector Cancelled & withdrawn tenders

Well it’s finally arrived! Ocurem have been working frantically over the past 6 months (and over 800 hours!) to bring you a piece of procurement research which focuses on the withdrawal and cancellation of tenders which are published through the OJEU (Official Journal of the European Union)

The team has researched and collated procurement data which has been put into trends and tables.

The research is available to purchase and download through our resource centre and comes in 2 formats, compact which is 22 pages, or unabridged which is 1792 pages!

The research is based upon all of the public sector tenders which have been withdrawn or published, and as a sneaky peek for those of you who can’t wait, here’s a couple of statistics:

  1. 7.2% of all tenders published on the OJEU were withdrawn or cancelled.
  2. The total value of the tenders which were withdrawn or cancelled during the research period was £4,475,600,182.00 as a minimum and £5,981,579,882.00 as a maximum (some tenders contain a range in £’s, hence the different)

The research covers a 6 month period from 1st October 2009 to 31st March 2010
