Meet the Buyer Event (Food & Drink) – Edinburgh – 3rd Nov


Scotland Food & Drink is delighted to offer a Meet the Buyer event with Baxter Storey on Wednesday 3rd November 2010 at the Dakota Hotel, Edinburgh
Baxter Storey is Britain’s leading independent food provider to business & industry, operating employee restaurants and executive dining rooms for over 400 business across the UK including Sainsbury’s, M&S to Virgin Atlantic, Carnival UK and Oracle.
The multi-award winning company continues to drive strong growth north of the Border, now boasting more than 40 Scottish sites including the flagship BBC Scotland head office in Glasgow and, most recently, Edinburgh Castle.
Baxter Storey prides itself on its passion for excellent food made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, its strong customer focus and coaching and developing staff, with a Chef Academy headed by Michelin-starred Nigel Haworth and John Campbell.
The company is looking to expand its strong supplier base and discover new products that stand out in terms of quality, provenance and sustainability. Truly excellent, artisan products across all categories are sought, including:
• Artisan bread and bakery products
• Sandwiches (made from scratch with fresh ingredients)
• Foodservice biscuits, chocolates & snacks
• Potatoes, vegetables and soft fruits (fresh and frozen)
• Meat and fish
• Scottish juices/soft drinks
• Anything unique/a little different would be particularly welcome
Companies will be required to submit an application form for consideration by Baxter Storey. Successful applicants will be invited to attend a pre-determined 20-minute Meet the Buyer slot lot in either the morning or afternoon with representatives of the senior team including the Regional Managing Director for Scotland and the North, Director Procurement and the Company Executive Chef.
This will be preceded by an informal chat about the company with the Business Development Manager.
Prior to the event, successful applicants will be issued with a full briefing pack to ensure that they are fully prepared for the Meet the Buyer session.
The event costs £75 + VATcredits for members and £150 + VAT for non-members.
